Used Chemiclean in the past to deal with cyano...never had a problem besides skimmer freaking out for a while. Started a treatment last Friday afternoon. Saturday morning when the tank lights came on, I noticed my 2" yellow coris wrasse was missing. I've never lost fish during a treatment of any kind. Whenever I dose chemiclean, I do let my skimmer overflow into the sump to help oxygenate water. Needless to say there's a good amount of micro bubbles in the system for a few days until skimmet calms down. Im wondering if he's hiding in the sand because there bubbles freaked him out. I know from past experience, that you dont wanna go sifting through sand to find a freaked out wrasse. Hasn't even come out to eat. All the other fish seem normal, eating, etc. What do you guys think?

I’ve heard of stressed wrasses staying under for two weeks. I would just give him a few days before you start worrying too much.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping. When I first got it 6 months ago, it was so small that it got sucked into the overflow and ended up in the sump. He's been trooper so I hope I didn't lose him.

It's been 5 days and still no sign of the wrasse. Skimmer is starting to calm down though; much less micro bubbles.

Man, that’s tough. I wouldn’t ever recommend digging for a Wrasse but 5 days for a fish in his established tank seems a little long to me.
