I treated my 55gallon tank the other day and I did a 20% water change today and it says to keep your skimmer on but I can't with mine no mater how I adjust it it goes crazy and I turnd it back on after the change and it's still going kinda nuts not as bad though will this go away in a few days

keep doing WC's. Also put an air stone in if you have one. It will take three or four wc's over the course over 4 days. Also clean your skimmer and sump. For some reason it helped me out. I did 5 gallons a day and on day 7 and after a sump and skimmer cleaning it finally went back to normal.

What the skimmer is pulling out is Telly yellow but i would have to empty the cup every few hours

If you can try to elevate the skimmer some as this will make less bubbles in the reaction schamber and possibly skim out the rest of the junk. But a good cleaning will remove the slick coating the chemiclean leaves behind. It makes some crazy bubbles if you omit the airstone from the process and sometimes even with the airstone

Make sure you do those water changes or the waste chemi clean cleans up will fuel another algae bloom

One thing that I did to help was run a tube from my skimmer overflow to a catch bottle and let the skimmer do the water change for me. This seamed to work well for rapidly getting the Chemiclean out if the tank water.'Just remember to monitor the overflow bottle or you'll have a mess.
