My display has been fishless for about a month and half. Ive been battling cyano on and off since this tank started. I used chemiclean awhile back when there were fish in it (they are all quarantined now) and it took care of 80% of it but now its back. If I do a black out for two days it disappears for a week or so and returns. I do my water changes and theres nothing new going into the tank as far as waste so Im ready to try chemiclean again. Question is do I need to aerate more since there are no fish? Are there other options I should try first?

What are your nitrates at? If they are 0, try raising them. As for airation, as long as you have wavemakers and what not it should be fine. You can always aim one closer to the surface.
