So im getting a small amount of Cyano. I have a 60 gallon tank and was wondering if it were bad to put about 1 scoop in as preventative measure. I don't want to run the airstone and or do a water change as I feel that there would be no need since im literally putting a 6th of the recommended dose as a preventative measure.

Any and all suggestions help.

Evening,

What dom said. Putting in a weakened dose will not help. I would either forgo, or do the treatment as instructed. A reduced amount will just dilute the prod making it less effective.

I would use CC only as a last resort. If the amount of Cyano is manageable, remove it manually as part of your weekly husbandry (prior to water changes).

I always do but currently fighting off Dinos and as the Dinos die off, I get a little of Cyano.

I'm curious, do you run a UV sterilizer? I began running one because of a Cyano issue. After a few days, I saw a 90% improvement.

I tried the green killing machine. Its a joke and does nothing in all reality. So I guess I can say I dont.
