Hi All,

Having recently been having a real issue with red cyano in my reef tank I decided to try Chemiclean having had it recommended by a friend, ( he has a lot more experience in reef keeping than me)
Anyway I followed the instructions to the letter and I was amazed at the results within 48 hours it had completely been removed. I did the 20% water change as per instructions and all seems well.

yes, ChemiClean is a useful tool.

Chemiclean and other antibiotics do kill cyano, and likely other bacteria as well.

IMO, it’s an ok last ditch approach. Note that the cyano may return if you do not change the conditions..
