Am in another forum talking about chemiclean I added it to my 150 cause I had cyano it all went away I added microbacter to treat the die off of the cyano everything good now for about a week but cant turn on the skimmer it goes crazy and the sock all it is pour out is bubbles how long for the effect of the chemiclean to go away

Can you leave it on and just let it iver flow in the sump? I have done that before until it settled down.

Won't it put back all the nutrients , you can see that the water is yellow

Yes I agree let it overflow in the sump, water changes also help

Doesn't the collection cup have a drain for a larger add on skimate container? My MRC skimmer does.

I ran my cup drain into a five gallon bucket and changed it about three times before the bubbles calmed down. Pretty good water change to boot, give that the water was probably pretty high in organics, at least above average.

my red actopus doesn't have a drain I will be doing a watet change this weekend , I can collect some skim and throw it away everyday but that also plays with my salinity
