it said wait an additional 24 hrs after the water change but my skimmer still wants to over flow any suggestions?

took my skimmer a long time to get back to normal operation after i used it.

Yea it takes a few days. I have to turn up the air intake slowly a little every day.

Chemiclean is a great product! Are you running carbon? If not add it and your skimmer will be back to normal in no time!

I usualy wait 2 days before starting the skimmer. Then run carbon with it for about 4 days. The first day using your skimmer adjust the water as low as possible. then if you have a drain just let it go back into the sump. after 24 hours you should be able to skim with the water level low in the skimmer. You can move it up daily and keep skimming until it is back to normal usualy 3 ot 4 days.

thank you all very much will try the carbon for 2 days then try the skimmer again i dont think i can limit the air on my skimmer but i can control the water level with the wedge pipe

I ended up having to leave the cup off my skimmer (Alpha Vertex Cone 170) for a few days before it would stop overflowing even at the lowest setting.
