Just checking if anyone knows the difference on chemiclean products. I see some that say red slime remover which is what I ordered and I was sent this which says red stain remover. Is there a difference in product?

Just a note......
I've had cyano many times and used good husbandry to get rid of it. The very last time I had a bad outbreak and decided to try chemiclean as quick fix and it worked great. Then, a month and half to two months after I got a bad outbreak of Dino's. Dino's are way worse than cyano to clear up, so use with caution! I've read this has happened to quite a few people.

So do you know if the products are the same . I see mixed reviews on it. I have been fighting cyano for about six months I think I am ready to try the chemiclean I see some people use it monthly for maintenance.

I don't know if they are the same product. I've been fighting Dino's for about 4 mos and about 1 month ago, I incorporated oversized Algae Turf Scrubbing and that seems to have helped a lot. The Dino's are mostly growing on the scrubber and not in the display. I think this would work with Cyano also.

I have no idea why cyanobacteria killing products label themselves as "cyano stain remover" products. But I've seen it more than once recently.
My guess is that the label is changed for lawyerly reasons, and may not necessarily reflect a change in the content?

I've used Microbacter 7 to clear up cyano. You have to get rid of what the cyano is using for food. The Microbacter 7 is what I use to do that a long with removing as much detritus as possible(it also helps get rid of algae).

Ultra life products make the Red Slime Remover.
The products IMO, are the same.

Both products significantly reduce oxygen so air stones are recommended.
Keep skimmer going, but you will have to adjust it.

I use chemiclean as a treatment for when bacteria are bothering my zoanthids and LPS good husbandry is my #1 recommended way to remove red slime as it will benefit you in the long run... red stain and champ remover are the same thing in essence may be slightly different but they both oxidize bacteria and kill them...
