chemipure elite users

I use chemipure elite off and on. Never tested for what it might remove that is good for the tank. Sounds like a good experiment. It does clear my water up when I use it.
Have fun reefing!

Carbon removes organics that can sometimes be binding up trace elements. It shouldn't be a problem if you do regular water changes to replenish the elements.

Thanks for the info zero. Sure don't get many responses from this site. Any other good sites you know of?

I'd encourage you to keep posting. I've been doing the forum for a while and sometimes people respond and sometimes they don't. But you'll learn a ton if you stay!

Your question is a little hard since no one can test trace elements. I've never had it cause issues though. But I stopped running that stuff awhile ago. It used to be my last ditch effort to clear my water up and bring the algae down. Now I just stay on top of my water changes.

I think everyone just wants to help others about the hobby they have a passion for even if it takes a while.
I have read that using carbon can affect tangs. I have not experienced this in my tank thank goodness.

id rather have a blank thread than 90 posts saying idk lol but you could try wetwebmedia.com i used that for a while till i found reef2reef to each his own but i feel more comfortable on this forum than most:)
