So I recently acquired a new 29 gallon reef tank, it has a HOB refugium that works pretty efficiently, however the tank was neglected before I got it. I decided to add a aqua clear 110 with filter floss to take care of particulate. While setting it up it occurred to me there was a good way of filtering out any chemical warfare that would be going on in the tank. I didn’t want to add plain carbon but I didn’t want anything like Chemipure blue that would take away from what the refugium is already taking care of either. So I was thinking chemipure green. It still has a really dense high grade carbon that would take out chemical warfare produced by coral but it wouldn’t have any GFO to remove phosphates the refugium needs. Thoughts?
