Hi all its me again.
Here is a question asking about the chemistry and usability of water that has been filtered through a 20" carbon block and a water softener.
What elements or ions would be left after this process?
Thanks!

My goal would be to be able to fill my new tank with the end product of the carbon/softener system
Thoughts?

That's how a lot of well systems work. Maybe I'm missing your question :)

At my house, for example, the water comes in and goes through a carbon block. From there it goes to my acid neutralizer and then out to the house. The water is usable as is at that point. It isn't "reef clean" since softeners and neutralizes all add TDS.
