Thanks for reading.
I have a 14 gallon(noncube)3 years old tank. I have tested the parameters all fine calcium 440; magnesium 1350; ph8; alkalinty is 9 dkh.. My corals won't open all the way they're out but not fully. zoa, green star poylp, birdsnest, frogspawn, and whatever it is caused my only fish blue green chromis to jump :/.. So Im stuck, narrowed it down to maybe three things that are out of my realm of knowledge, researched and water changed to the 3 choices:
Added a 4lb dead rock to my tank(I had 9-10 lbs already) and the bacteria staring to grow on it is causing a reaction I can't seem to understand?
I started mixing my own salt mix, Red Sea, did this 2-3 weeks before the rock was added everything seemed fine..
The ph buffer that I used around the same time as adding my rock from a 7dkh to a 9 dkh and 7.8 ph to an 8 is actually hurting my tank..
Please help I'm stuck at these, the corals all flourished under neath the led set up I had with a crappy Red Sea skimmer by my filter
