Cherrystone Clam, refugium or food for fish/corals?

Has anyone ever bought a clam at the grocery store and put it in their refugium as a cleaner clam?

I currently have what I believe is a cherry stone clam that is at room temperature in saltwater for the past two days and it has expelled all its sand and waste.

I was planning on opening it up and feeding it to my fish and corals/anemone. Not sure if this is even kosher but I want to try and feed live food. Closest I can to live food in central PA.

Anyways, I'm wondering if I can put this clam, or a few of these clams, in my refugium as a filter feeder.

Any thoughts??

Yes. I had 2 oysters for 8 months till a sponge died in the sump and took them out.
And feeding them are totally kosher.
Hard to do once they have names though.
Most in the store are cold water or temperate animals. The bivalves seem more resilient to temp change though.
