Cherub angel in 3g QT?

I currently have a 3g Picotope cycled and running with live rock, I'm going to make it a nano reef soon. I'm going to put a Cherub or Argi angel into my 28g nano. What do you think of putting the little guy in the 3g for a month as a QT? I know it is small but I don't wanna chance putting him in the 28 right away and getting sick.

I honestly think he would get extremely stressed and you might loose him in a 3g.

I agree, angels need room, even a small one.

Besides his comfort It's very unlikely a 3G nano can handle the Bioload. I wouldn't put him in anything smaller than 10G for QT

Catalina Goby? i have one in my 28 gallon , very pretty , very small , and just needs a spot to hide and it comes out and roams around the tank during the day. they can live for three years.

Plus, in a Pico, conditions such as salinity, temp. ammonia, nitrite, etc can and do change pretty quickly and a fish can get sick pretty easily in a less stable system.

Yea I was kinda figuring that it might not be a great idea. I'm not looking to keep him there permantely, just for a QT period of about 3-4 weeks.

That's a pretty long time for something of that size. Why not pick up a rubbermaid container and use it for something else afterwards? Or ask your local fish club if someone has a 10g you can borrow (or buy one for $10 from petco).

I think that's the route i'm gonna go. I have a ten gallon in my attic. I will just swap everything over and it should be fine.

the only a cherub is good for is eel food, that is one mean little fish good luck!
