Cheto collapse

Has anyone ever had the cheto in their sump suddenly collapse and die off? All my corals look good. My light cycle has been a bit sporadic for it but I've never had it all die before. Any thoughts?

No I've just let it do it's thing. Never really done anything to it. Never grew a ton

my riend had that happen to him, He had a stocked 50g fuge and one day all the cheato vanished, I gave him some of mine and a day or two later it dissolved on him. I would like to know the answer to this too

possibly mag levels are too high and burned it off. i have it in a 55 gal sump and hardly ever have light on it :| only really when i remember to turn it on at night
