so I've been in the market for a Chevron but didn't feel like paying $400 so I found a guy selling his though DFWMAS. We set up a time and date for me to pick it up only for him to ghost my text till the next morning. We set up another day and he does the same thing, finally the 3rd time he gives me an address and says the fish has been bagged and ready to go. The fish was in seachem bags when I arrived and they are blued out so I couldn't really tell it's condition but go ahead and pay anyway. Well 45 min later I get home to start drip acclimating and he looks like this when I open the bag. Assuming an oxygen issue from the nought I immediately put him in and held him in front of the powerhead. Somehow I feel like he's going to try and pin this on me and need confirmation I couldn't have done this in the 1hr 15min I had the fish

And who knows how long it was in the bag for before you got there?
It was filled with about 1/2 and 1/2. He had texted at 640 that the fish was bagged and ready to go. Picked it up at 8:30 and opened the bag about 925 after floating him

My guess from the mouth is that he had been dead awhile. Also seemed pretty stiff when I tried to hold him in water

I'm trying to give him a day to make it right before I blast him and get my refund

Unless you put in right under the AC or heat in your car on the way home, there's no way it's your fault.
Sometimes fish die for seemingly no reason. But the fact that the guy ghosted you 2x beforehand probably means he's guilty of something imo.
