Anybody know what this is on his dorsal fin? I thought it was just an injury from another tang or something but it's been a couple weeks now and hasn't healed.

Yes I know he has ich and clowdy eyes. What should I do to fix him up? As far as his dorsal fin goes.

Looks like he's been on the receiving end of some aggression, based on the dorsal injury and missing chunks of tailfin. Injuries can become infected pretty easily, so you may need some antibiotic treatment at this point.

All of these guys are going to need some treatment in a QT, while the display goes fallow for the ich - fortunately, it is possible to use copper and antibiotics at the same time. It's important to make certain that oxygen levels remain high through that treatment, though!

Your best-bet antibiotic for use with copper is likely to be Spectrogram, but you can also use the combination of Furan-2, Kanaplex and Metroplex.

Looks like ich + velvet + bacterial infection.

I would move all fish to QT and treat with antibiotics + copper.

What meds do you have on hand?

+1 on the above.
Fish look in bad condition I'd hurry up with starting treatment in a QT.

Velvet?!? All the posts I've read about velvet is it acts fast and kills within days I've had this fish for over a month and no new additions since then.

It does look very much like velvet. It could have been dormant and outbreak just started. Anyway be it Ich or velvet treatment is the switching it just needs to start earliest possible sigh velvet and of course survival rate is lower with velvet.

I hate to be stubborn. But I strongly don't think its velvet. As far as QT goes it'll be hard to QT 15+ fish in my current 40gal.

I've read lots of threads about just riding out ich for lrge systems. Good food, vitamins and good water will make their immune system stronger agaisnt an out break.

Honestly. My plan is to upgrade to a larger aquarium soon. And via that process I'll transfer all my liverock. Coral and inverts and most of the water to larger tank and let that go fallow. And use my current 180 as a treatment tank for ich.
