Chiller efficiency and inverter technology

We know that almost all air conditioning units these days use the inverter technology. Using that technology the compressor speed is controlled to maintain a stable temperature resulting in better temperature control and better efficiency. I wonder why aquarium chiller are not using that technology. Any comments?

I have been thinking the same as well, in 2023 .

Lets get this thread moving again. Maybe we can crowdsource some ideas for a DIY project?
