I just bought and installed a new Artica chiller. I might be crazy but I think I got an electrical shock when I put my finger in the water. Now this finger had a cut, I tried my other hand with no cuts I would assume if it was electrical I would have felt something. Is there any way to test to see if there is any current in the water. I know I am crazy!

Highly doubt it was your chiller if you only felt it on one hand, and that one hand had a cut, it was most likely the saltwater bugging the cut.
That being said, if you want to check for abnormal stray voltage, this is a decent video on it. All you need is a multi-meter.

I just had the same issue, without a doubt it was the Artica chiller that put the voltage into my tank, I am now going to start a return to BRS, I have not even had this chiller six months. Not happy, I am grateful nothing died.

I am also having the same issue. Also verified it was the chiller.

I have delt with stray voltage from faulty equipment more times than I'm proud to admit and I have also noticed it is SIGNIFICANTLY easier to feel it if you have cuts on you hands or if you trim/bite your nails too far back. I always confirm with a multimeter before jumping to conclusions but it seems like a pretty reliable telp. If it feels like you are getting shocked by your tank than you very likely are.

Sorry for necro posting but since this issue pertains to safety I felt it was still appropriate
