im planning to buy a hailea chiller. but ive been told its not good to place them inside the cab.
but its the only option i have.

the place where im putting the chiller isnt entirely closed. theres space at the back where air can enter.
should i place a fan behind there so air can enter better?

any suggestion?

You should install the fan on the back wall next to the floor so that cool air enters underneath and hot air exits overhead.

im afraid i cant put the fan behind chiller because the space is just exact for the chiller.
forgot to mention. im planning to raise the chiller up by 2 -3 inches with the use of plywood blocks. because the chiller wont fit because of the hinges.
so i can put the fan underneath the chiller. would that work?

It would help, but there would be the risk of recirculating hot air and hampering the cooling of the machine ... ideally, the fan should be built into the back wall, near the floor, or if possible, by opening ventilation holes in the floor itself, whenever there is air entrances around, between the floor of the property and the floor of the furniture.

Do you have a space that is near by that you can put the chiller in? A closet?
I put my chiller outside on my patio and ran the piping through the wall.
If the ONLY spot is inside the stand, I would probably make the opening larger so the exhaust warm air from the chiller had a direct flow outside the stand.

So the chiller just arrived. And my plan is to put two 200mm exhaust fans on the back opening.

As for the cooling fans, the only place i could think of is at the sides or at the top facing down directly to the chiller.

What do you guys think

It might be OK if you leave the door open constantly or take it off. They move a lot of air when they are running... more than those fans can get in/out. Even on the floor right next to the cabinet would be OK.

I'm in the field of HVACR, we repair chillers for some LRS, open the back side completely and if possible add a small fan that's not noisy to push hot air out. If my tank I'd have outside, to prevent pre failure .
