Chiller problem

Hi everyone!

I have a coralife 1/4th hp chiller. I was setting it up again after a move and as i was tightening the seal it cracked and broke apart.

I googled for coralife replacements but couldnt find any. I did find other chiller brand replacements.

I was wondering if anyone knows if they are interchangeable??

Im away for the weekend so of course it's the usual something breaks on vacation or right before.

Need to just try. Do you even need the chiller? Most tanks can be temp controlled with a small fan. I have used MH for a long time with no chiller and temps well within range.

As of right now i dont need it but the temp has risen 2° on the one hot day that wasnt even hot. The room faces west so gets a lot of sun so the summer will get hot. It's 120cube, 57 rimless and 12g frag tank. A fan wont cut it most days. I have an ac in the room which will do most of the cooling but when I'm away i dont want to run an ac 24/7 but yea i figure just buy and try

I’d call Coralife with the model number and have them send you the part directly.
