I have a 180 gallon, I am wanting to add more coral. But have lost a few. I can't keep my water below 84 degrees. I keep the lid open and I have 2 double powerheads. What chiller should I get? I need something affordable. On a budget until March.

Do you have any powerheads pointing up to the surface of the water? ie-making surface water splash a little?
Its better for heat/gas exchange. I have my return bubbling the surface and it took my tank 2 degrees lower. Granted, Im not sure about big tanks, mine are all <40 gal.
Ive never needed a chiller but maybe you can try that?

I will try

I cant control the heat in my apt in the winter (baseboard old style lol) but opening windows or running fans helps a lot for my tanks.
