I have a 30gal nano reef tank and I am looking at purchasing a Chill Solutions CSXC-1 Features . In their information it says average temp reduction is 2-4 degrees that dosen't seem like much of a reduction since on days the water could be 85. Am I understanding the information correctly

Yep,
For a 30 gallon, that how I read it as well. 2-4 degree temp drawdown.
