I had an online order of some hermits, snails, rock anemone, coco worm, open brain and a firefish delivered to me this morning. I had it shipped to me at work because the weather here in Utah hasn't been very predictable lately. I opened it up and everyone looks fine but the bags feel really cold. I can't get them in my tank for a while being at work so I'm a little worried about their temp. The only thing I can think of is to let my space heater run next to them for a while. Should I do that or are they ok?

Warm them slowly so not to stress them and they should be fine. Why would they not put heat packs in your box? If you have problems i would be contacting that vendor.

I would let them slowly climb to room temp before I put them near the heater (if at all). Keep the top of the box/styro open to let the heat circulate around in there. When you get home slowly acclimate them. Your best bet is take it slow. By all means let the vendor know they arrived cold and let them know you are concerned if they will survive and will let them know you will be giving them updates over the next few days.

I just opened the box and let them get to room temp slowly like mentioned. Once I got them home and in my tank they are happy as can be. The fire fish ate DVD coco worm is out and waving in the current. So far so good.
