china lights

They are not outstanding but they can grow stuffs if your tank parameters are fine....

I used one for a while on my frag system. It grew stuff but I would get a nasty brown algae over everything no matter how good the filtration was and keeping up with large water changes. I swapped out that light for a kessil and the algae went away within a week or so.

Good to know. I have 6 over a 220 gallon and get the brown algae film also which I never had with halides on the same tank. They do grow coral, including acros, OK for me. I have all 6 of them at 100% blue and 60% white. I thought they were horrible at first, but it turns out that SPS coral don't grow well when they are infested with red bugs. After 3 sentinel treatments, they look great again and are growing very fast under the chinese LEDs.
