China wrasse (Anampses neoguinaicus)

I bought an A. neoguinaicus that will arrive tomorrow night.
I have been doing a bunch of research but wanted some personal experiences.
I have a bunch of small ghost shrimp, pods, and bbs to get it to start eating.
Any info helps.

It was great. Very active. Always picking at the rocks. I can't say if it was eating what I was feeding him. He looked healthy....

They are one of the hardier species of Anampses. Quite peaceful. Can get big, but is a slow grower.

He's in QT along with the Halichoeres nebulosus. Doing well so far. Threw a bunch of pods in there for them to snack on.
I'll take pictures when I get home tonight

Now to find a way to harvest larger amphipods to snack on.

So far I have seen her eat PE mysis pellets.
She loves them.

I would be wary of keeping it with H. nebulosus. Nebulosus wrasses get pretty aggressive toward other wrasses and are not good fits for reef tanks.

Thats what ive been reading also.
Considering bringing it back......
Pictures as soon as I transfer her into the next tank! The one she is in now has a clear backing which doesn't make for the best pic.

She's still doing well, eating everything I throw in the tank.

It can eat shrimp and other small inverts.
It is safe around corals.
