Does this look bad or no. I'm planning on finally (for those that have been following the retirement community build thread) starting to put water in. See pics it just rubbed on the vehicle during delivery.

This is being setup in my office waiting area...... I have a pic of the chip and the piece which was thinner than a piece of paper on the flat part....... Thanks

dosent look good I would get some aquarium sealent just to make sure it dosent create a weak spot in the aquarium. As long as it dosent leak you could use it but I would use some sealent just in case.

It's nowhere close to the inside seal. I put silicone over it in the outside because it was sharp.

I will try and put a measuring tape by it tomorrow and post more pics. :)

Following my 180 has about the same size chip and am wondering the same thing

I would recommend you to smooth it out with sand paper as there is possibility of cracks to develope under stress. Glass always have some leftover tension after manufacturing and chips etc. can encourage some cracks to develope under tension caused by water pressure.

It been sitting with silicone in the chip for a couple weeks........

So far no leaks but it only a little above the chip filled with water. Will it make more of a difference when completely filled?

Well, that's as full as I got it today. Now I have a 3 day weekend so put a power head too.......

Just curious, what is the purpose of that silicone patch in the chip? Other than preventing you to hurt yourself with the sharp edges?

Pretty much that's it. It is in a retirement community and it was a pretty sharp edge right at the bottom front as the walk into my office by it. :)

I had same size chip looks like about same area on corner an never got any worse over the could of years it was setup and never leaked

I set tank so chip was on back of tank might drain an turn around before you fill any more just save water

Thanks, yeah can't turn it because of the overflow and the background is painted on.
