Chip in glass should I worry

I have my new tank for the next build. It’s a 48x24x22 with 15mm glass. The tank arrived with a chip on the edge of the back panel.
Looking for any thoughts and opinions if I should worry about this chip? Thanks!

If I bought it brand new I would not accept it with that chip. I would ask for a new tank.

It is brand new, hasn’t even seen water yet. A very reputable company built the tank, the chip must have happened during shipping. This company has already offered to replace the tank, but it took over 4 months to get this tank. If it doesn’t seem like structural damage? Thanks for all the input.

Agree, but change it anyway. 4 month is worth the wait, tank is going to stay for years.

I'd be more worried about the possible flaws you don't see than the one you do. Impact that caused that chip may have damaged glass in other areas underneath silicone. Don't risk it.

They are going to build it right away, should only be a few weeks. After reading everyone’s input, I figure it is better to get the new tank and be patient. Nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank anyways.

Better to be safe than sorry!! Read Ron Reefman's article about his 180 gallon tank breaking in the back middle of the glass!
