Chip in glass

I discovered this chip in the glass this morning is the tank no good anymore?

I have the same issue on an IM fusion tank. Mine is on the outside which other than it being slightly noticeable there is nothing to worry about. I'd say the same thing in your case unless it is on the inside and once filled with water if there is a leak.

How deep is the chip?
How large is the tank? (How tall?)
How far from the bottom is the chip?

Tank is 120 gallons. The chip is about the size of half a pink nail and it’s less then 1/16 thick

The silicone is between the panes of glass and on the inside preventing any leaks. I wouldn't have any worries using it.

Car windshield chips get repaired because of the extreme temps and vibration while driving can cause them to crack. You can use a chip repair kit on your tank though if it will give you piece of mind.
