Chip in tank

I am buying this tank which is an innovative marine 25 lagoon for $75. if i put a lid on it would it hide the chip? or could i even fix it? thanks

A canopy would certainly cover it for you, but before I'd spend a nickel on it I'd be taking a very close look at the chip. Use a magnifying glass if possible. Look for any tiny micro cracks that would indicate that it could fail sometime down the road.

Even though that seems like a good price, I'd probably take a pass on it.
