Hey Reefers,
I have been in reefing for 2 years yet have never used a reef ready tank! Sad really. Just bought a house recently and am firing up a new 90g RR/40b sump build. So, to the point:
Are these chips on the drain holes (came from the store like this and I didn't notice) going to be an issue? Whether that issue would be improper seal or eventual cracking/failing of the glass?
They are on the underside of the tank (dry side) which I believe greatly reduces the chance of any seal issues I will have since the gasket/flange is on the inside of the tank, but I really have no idea. I am more concerned about cracking/failing etc but would prefer to avoid both lol.
The first 4 pics are of the underside, the second 3 are from the inside.
As you will see, the top rings of the holes are normal circles, but the bottom on the outside/underside is chipped, more so on the larger 1" hole. I am showing you pics from the top just for a different view.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
