Ever had a crack on you windshield? Glass spreads overtime no matter what and with water pressure and electric why take the risk? Get a quote for someone to replace the glass. If not in your budget perhaps wait or attempt to replace the glass and re-silicone. I'd trust you own DiY job over filling that with water. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your insight. I do want to mention that it’s the top 2” edge of the tank that is Behind the overflow box panel. I thinking this won’t be under water and wouldn’t be under wave stress. Has anyone ever used the product ‘Bondic’ ? Seen this stuff used to fix chipped aquariums. It’s liquid when applied, shine the u,v. Light on it and it hardens, then sand to a even surface. Any thoughts ? YouTube perhaps

Id get a piece cut to size same thickness and replace it. Even if it's out of the water there is a lot of stress up there with no support structure to keep it from bowing and possibly breaking in the future. Its your call in the end but i wouldn't fill it.
