So im rebuilding a 200 gallon. My concern is there are a few chips in the middle of the front pane of glass. Concern or not?

Also would you rebuild the pane of glass with the chips on the outside or the inside? Have it on the top or the bottom of the tank? Whats safer?

Safest would be to get new glass. Could you post a photo?
Is the chip on the side of the glass, or along an edge?

Im at work so not now. The chip is in the middle of the longest pane of glass. Im thinking of siliconing a strip of glass along the front at the top to add strength.

Its in the middle on the edge at the top or bottom (whichever way i resilicone it) Not a chip in the centre of the glass.

I would use the glass if it's centred on the edge and put it on the top edge of the tank. Sand it down with some very fine sandpaper to get rid of the sharp edge of the chip.
It's safest to replace the glass entirely, but you could make it work.
This is just what I would do, don't take my word for it.
Wait till someone with more experience with glass chimes in :)

Sounds good. Is it better to have the chip on the outside or the inside? I guess the top has less pressure than the bottom, right?
