Hey guys, I was hoping someone could help me possibly figure out what this is. I found it on a rock today and pulled it out immediately.

It seems to have a very tough exterior. I was thinking that it possibly is a chiton in a late larvae stage but I’m not 100% sure. What do you guys think? E4218FBD-D1BE-456D-B94D-F3AFB5EE0566.jpeg

I guess 1 leg of an astrenia star lol

They grow and deteriorate in odd ways...

I agree on asterina star leg. Good opprtunity to discard it before you end up with a clan of them
