Chloramine Question

If chloramines where get into my tank for an extended period of time could they be absorbed into rock work and sand, then leach back out? @Randy Holmes-Farley

They will be in the water that is absorbed by the rock.
If you have gunk in your tank:
Trihalomethanes (THM) are a group of four chemicals that are formed along with other disinfection by products when chloramine or other disinfectants used to control microbial contaminants in drinking water react with naturally occurring organic and inorganic matter in water.
These are not good either.

How much chloramine would estimate was added to the tank over what time period?

Chloramine will not bind and remain in the tank. It will react with organics and other things in the water and likely will be gone in a few days max.

No, it won't skim at all. It will react with organics, oxidizing and chlorinating them. It will also react with bromide in seawater.
