Chloramine Question

They will be in the water that is absorbed by the rock.
If you have gunk in your tank:
Trihalomethanes (THM) are a group of four chemicals that are formed along with other disinfection by products when chloramine or other disinfectants used to control microbial contaminants in drinking water react with naturally occurring organic and inorganic matter in water.
These are not good either.

No, it won't skim at all. It will react with organics, oxidizing and chlorinating them. It will also react with bromide in seawater.
