Does anyone feed chlorella and spirulina in their tanks? I have a bag of chlorella/spirulina powder and thinking of soaking frozen food in it while it thaws and then feeding it to the tank. Is chlorella/spirulina beneficial to corals and anemones?

You could make a batch of brine shrimp and grow up those shrimp with the chlorella... then feed the shrimp to your tank.

What is this clear round creature on my glass?

Thats way too much work. Im just gonna soak my food in it and target feed lol. But it would be ideal to grow live food with chlorella/spirulina.

Soaking it isn't going to do anything. Spirulina will just stick to the side of the food for a little while, then promptly fall ff when you put it into the tank. If you want to feed spirulina to the fish, you need to do something else to it to get into the fish. e.g. feed it to brine shrimp, or put it in a gel that the fish will eat.

I’m aiming more to feed the anemone. I turn pumps off and Target feed the anemone. Thats what i do with reef roids and benepets.
