I found chlorine free bleach, which is made from hydrogen peroxide, citric acid and water. It’s dye and perfume free. Seems like this would be a safer option for cleaning filter socks. Anybody else use this? Any reason not to?

I use the unscented bleach for my filter socks...brings then to looking like new.

I use the washing machine set to the White cycle on hot and add an extra rinse. When done they are just about dry and no smell of chlorine that I can detect.

+1. They smell clean, look clean, and are clean.

Your just afraid of bleach bc....
1) it ruined your BlueJeans
Or
2) made you pass out when you huffed it

Washing socks with chlorine bleach has never harmed any tank anywhere bc the socks air dry the chlorine pretty quick.

Never heard of anyone going straight from washing machine using chlorine bleach to hanging the sock immediately

HERE A MIC DROP..... most of your major elements in saltwater have CHLORIDE in the their chemical bonding

Sodium chloride
Calcium chloride
Magnesium chloride
Potassium chloride
List goes ooooooon and on
