I am in the process of quarantine a new Achilles tang. I have just completed Prazipro treatment and had performed 70% water change in preparation of chloroquine treatment. My question is I am aiming for 40ml/g and I am using 250gram tablet form which say 150g chloroquine/ 250g chloroquine diphosphate. How much should I use? Should I go for 40mg/g of active chloroquine or 40mg/g chloroquine diphosphate? You help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I do have a lot of Chloroquin Phosphate bought from e-bay which I am not so confident about. The Chloroquin Diphosphate tablets are from pharmacy which I have more confidence with.

Hello everybody,

chloroquin phosphate and chloroquine diphosphate are actually the same compounds, so its just nomenclature synonyms, and dosage would be the same.

The dosing recommendations given on this forum are (to the very best of my knowledge) for chloroquine phosphate (chloroquine diphosphate), not for active chloroquine (which is also called chloroquine base). I was trying to find the original scientific literature where the use of chloroquine against cryptocarion/amyloodinium is described, but havent been successful yet.

Thanks for the information. I administered 40mg/g of Choloquine Diphosphate which contains about 26.6ml/g chloroquine. Is that correct?

Almost, 40 mg Chloroquine phosphate per gallon equals 24.8 mg per gallon of chloroquine base.

How much should I aim for? For quarantine purpose? 40mg/f of CP correct? Not 40mg/g of chloroquine base right?
