Hey @Humblefish im still waiting for my digital scale I know I need to dose 40-60mg per gallon. Is there a kitchen weight I can use to get in the ball park dosage, like a teaspoon or something? The CP I have is a 30gram container from Diamondback Drugs. Thanks!
CP is lighter than either of those. It typically doesn't but every fish is a little different. I always dose @ 40mg/gal before the fish ever enters QT, and my success has been phenomenal. Just don't use CP on wrasses & Hippo Tangs.
I've had some issues (appetite suppression, lethargy) when treating fish @ 80mg/gal.
So, I've kept the dosage at 60 mg/gal with no problems.
Unfortunately, no. I don't believe a crude kitchen weight would provide an accurate dosage.
Milligrams are a unit of weight, while the teaspoon is a unit of volume. The number of teaspoons to grams differs depending on density of the substance. For example, 1 teaspoon of sugar is equivalent to about 4 grams, while 1 teaspoon of salt is about 6 grams.CP is lighter than either of those.
