I thought CP was not supposed to be used with blue tangs?
Great video thanks for sharing! I'm surprised that purple tang was still alive with that wound.
Is this CP you're using from a vet Rx?
Are the Hippo's CP sensitive? If so, he's doing very well with the max dose.
Great video illustrating the symptoms. FWIW, I usually dissolve CP in some tank water before dosing, just in case a fish eats some of the particles and gets an overdose.
+1 Dissolving before dosing is good advice when it comes to all powder medications. For example, if a fish were to swim through undissolved powder then some of it could potentially damage the gills. All it takes is mixing in a cup with a spoon - one extra step.
For liquid medications (ex. Prazipro) it would be best to pour it into the HOB (or sump if dosed into a DT) so it can be more evenly distributed with water before pouring back into the QT.
I read that to disperse Prazi, it should be strained through a shrimp net directly into the tank.
OR add it to a small glass of tank water, stir it up, wait a few seconds for it to stop foaming, then slowly pour it along the sides of the tank glass. That's what I did. It worked as it was supposed to with no ill effects.

For powder prazi, you can also just add a few drops of vodka to it while stirring. The fish don't seem to mind.![]()
