I put a fighting conch in my tank a few months ago and it never moves a single inch when the lights are on. As soon as my lights go off, he starts moving around. Is this typical? If heard some people say they are very active.

I'm wondering if my triggers keep him in his shell during the day? Shortly after putting him in my tank, I noticed he had a missing eyes, which he has since regenerated. I've seen my triggers nip at him. Is he just being defensive or is this typical behavior even if I didn't have the triggers?

I have some that don't move for days at a time. I think it is normal

Mine moves around all day and night but sometimes he buries himself in the sand with one eye (creepy) sticking out of sand. I assume during that time he may be resting

He is most likely being defensive. Fighting conches are one of the few snails that people keep in predator tanks because their shells are very strong, they have lightning fast reflexes, and they are pretty smart
