Okay heres the deal. I cant decide on my 3rd and final fish, so Im open to all suggestions.

24 gallons. Current tankmates are bangaii cardinal and a tiny tiny green chromis. The tank is topless, and it needs to be 100% reefsafe!!

My past fish have been coral beauty angel, maroon clown, sixline wrasse, and a firefish. CBA and maroon got taken back because CBA had expensive taste and the maroon was a grouch. The sixline and firefish disappeared, assuming they jumped.

hmmm....

I think without any kind of top, thats tough. a lot of the cooler, smaller fish love to jump.

have you thought about making the Jimsflies net top?

ill send you a link.

If not, than i say get a randells goby, and pair it with a japanese pistol shrimp. they are yellow and purple (the shrimp, not the fish)

Midas can also be a little mean. They will also bite the hand that feeds them.

Really? :confuse: Never had that experience with either of the 2 I've had--I must be lucky.

i have a midas blenny also and think hes great! ive never seen mine be aggressive. i swear that him and my pygmy cherub play together :) he is outgoing and is so funny sticking with his head just out of holes hehhehehe

nope, i got it.

ORA yellow assesor

they swin upside down. By choice, not because of a swim bladder issue.

they are wicked cool.

Thanks for all the choices everyone. Id really like to see the ORA yellow assessor because I can get that locally. Ive been calling around for a Midas every week now, but my LFS says theyve only seen em in like 5 times since theyve had their doors open (est 1985)

good luck finding a yellow assesor not very common and really over priced. but if you want rare and expensive try a Griessinger's Goby. but realistically how about a catalina goby.

Coldwater fish, will slowly die in a reef tank.

Yea Ive seen those before. Colorful though
I second the blackcap. These guys are really neat fish.

I will investigate! :nerd:

here ya go.

they swim upside down 90% of the time...ultimate conversation piece. No one can NOT ask about it.

Im going to call the LFS tomorrow to get a price check on one and get one ordered if its under $40.
Goby pistol shrimp pair...

Almost never see those locally. Plus I have a cleaner shrimp, wouldnt they fight?
