Choose my Wrasse!

I've narrowed down my choices to the ones in the poll, but feel free to include anything similar to them that I might have missed.

I have a barebottom 93g cube with a 2-spot Bristletooth Tang and 2 Black Ice Clownfish.

I have had a McCoskers Wrasse previously, but he disappeared about 2 weeks later and was never found (different tank, long time ago). I have netting on my current tank to prevent carpet surfing!

Really similar fishes, and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I like mccoskers.

There are also fairy wrasses to choose from, like Lubbock, exquisite, and orange back.

You can also mix some of them.

Since you are bare bottom, I wouldn't try leopard or Halichoeres wrasses.

I would recommend a flavianalis. They seem to be slightly more outgoing.

Agree with TJ. Mine even bosses and flashes at some of my fairy wrasses.

Why stop at one? You could have more and it would increase the displaying.

I'm not opposed to multiples. My tang hides all day and barely comes out for food and the clowns hang out by the overflow all day without much movement, so I'm all for adding fish that actually move around!

In a 93 gal, you likely can put more than 1 flasher in it. There are also so many colorful fairy wrasses also.
I agree with TJ, of the common Flasher wrasses, I like the Flavianalis the best, then McCosker.
Here is a picture of my Flashers. BTW, keep just one, your Flasher is unlikely to flash and show off.
Strongly consiider adding more than one and also a few more docile smaller Fairy.

I prefer my fairy wrasses. I had an orange back in my last tank. The brightness that you get off of their back with the orange and purple is awesome...

Bluethroat/Sailfin. Don't get this one, just just want to show off.

Beautiful fish! I didn't realize you could keep 2 Male flashers together. Do they flash towards each other or do you have females as well?

2 male flashers will display towards each other, though I recommend at least 3 flashers if you try it.

IMO, they are the best looking of the filamentous type Flasher. For more expensive flashers, you cannot beat a Eightline Flasher (P. octotaenia) from the Red Sea or a Diamondtail flasher (P. attenuatus).
TJ recommendation of 3 is great.

Diamond flasher is beautiful, just can't justify the cost!

Those 3 would work. Though add the rubeus last. It is the bossiest of the 3 species.
