Choosing

There is no difference except taste in looks, and possibly grain size. Black sand has raised concern for possible metal contamination, such as iron or tin, which could be a problem.

I dont use sand, the bottom of my tank is painted white. This allows me to prevent the poo getting trapped in the sand and rotting, and causing problems.

If i had to choose, id go with binini pink.

I think the metal issue was only with one brand, from what I read on here a few weeks back. It's mainly just which look you prefer. I looked up reef tanks with black sand and reef tanks with pink sand and chose based on which was more in line with what I hope to accomplish with my tank.
