What’s your least favorite tank maintenance chore and what have you done to make your life easier dealing with it?

I hate changing filter socks and doing water changes. I tend to just avoid them to make it easier .

Water changes are a pain but some days I dont mind them. I do one 20% once a month, taking approx 2 hours. I also clean the sand as I dont have a sump

I hate water changes simply because I did not have a good and efficient system. I also hated spilling water everywhere. Now my APEX does if for me lol.

I think I'm probably going to be the odd one out here but I actually miss manually topping of my tank every day since I installed my ato. For some reason I really enjoy every chore involved with my tank. I still even check my water level each day after work just to make sure that the ato is working

Cleaning the glass. I like doing the testing and water changes. I bought a magnafloat with a scraper blade attached. It has made cleaning the glass less crappy.

Cleaning my return pump monthly. I hate it. No easy way to do it, but gotta have that flow bro.

I’m not running any media but I hate changing out the carbon, all that rinsing and I always end up spilling it all over the counter ;Shifty

The other aspects of maintenance don’t bother me but glass cleaning is just incredibly boring

I'm not color blind but I sure as s**t can't see the the colors on the test kits so I'm always asking my wife for help
