I have a frag of Christmas favia on a plug. Can I take it off and place it on a live rock? If so how?

That's fine. Just use some epoxy to secure the coral to the rock. You might have to use a flathead screwdriver to pop the coral off the plug though. GL.

I don't let mine stay out for more than a minute and a half and I have never had one die.

Ok so my question is I do t have epoxy but I have aquarium safe silicone can I use that on my frag and live rock?

Cheaper yet just go to Walmart and buy a tube of superglue works great.

The superglue gel will work as well, but the way that this type of coral grows I prefer to squash the coral down into some epoxy so that the tissue is making contact with it on all sides. This will allow the coral to spread much faster, as opposed to having small gaps in between the plug and the rock. You could do this with the glue too, but the epoxy is a little bit more forgiving when it comes down to the contours of the rock IME. Whatever works though.. GL.
