Went to my LFS this morning and picked up this Christmas tree rock. I can't find a whole Lot of care tips on line. Somethings I read say highlight some things I read say lowlight. Any help would be great.

Yeah, the base structure in the picture above looks like a Porites coral. I didn't read through that second link, but the first one does mention the relationship between the worms and the base structure though. Something about gaining nutrition from the host's mucus? You might want to skim back through that. GL.
