My LFS has a nice looking Christmas tree worm coral I’m thinking of getting. First question can I use any coral dip on them for pests?

Get it! Those things are cool and I never see them locally.

I can't answer for sure but I believe they are worms, not corals so dipping would be a no go

Yeah definitely cool. Second question is about wrasses. LFS said my leopard wrasse is safe but was unsure of a dusky wrasse.

Not sure. I do have a leopard in my reef with a feather duster worm and he never bothers anything

No coral dip. Would have sane effect as feather duster or hydroids

Agreed. Don’t dip it, basically you’ll be left with just the porites. And FYI monti eating nudis can climb on board. They eat both monti and porites.

I have a christmas tree worm rock in a tank with a melanurus wrasse, it’s been in there a couple years and he doesn’t bother them. I’ve lost a few worms but I don’t think it was because of the wrasse.

Well the copper band butterfly really liked the worms. I watched for about an hour and he was not interested then I left for 20 minutes all worms closed up and the copper band was picking at them. Made room in the sump too bad I’ll only see this coral at night.
