When one of my tanks sprung a leak my chromis got moved into a different tank. Now 4 of my 7 are not schooling, stay in corners either frozen or just twitch and only eat when food passes by them. It’s been 2months now. And no change. Are they doomed to do this forever?

All my other fish act normally.

It sounds as though they're nervous about something ... but can't say what, from your description.

The other three are behaving normally?

Perhaps other members of the #reefsquad can offer some insight . . .

That is weird
You said that "they got moved into different tank" was this a new setup or existing with other fish?

As Bruce mentioned they are afraid of something.

How long have you had them as a group? Are the one's hiding smaller than the one's still out and about? I could be an aggression issue. I know I started with 5 and eventually one was taken out by the others. I was down to four, but only two were active. The two largest ones kept the smaller ones in their place. I lost the two weakest ones to Irma a few weeks ago so I'm down to the two and I suspect one of them will eventually be the lone survivor. Not saying this is your case, but thought I would bring it up as a potential reason.

They were the first introduced into that tank. As a group. Size are the same. They were in there alone and then with a small goby and firefish for over a week.
