I got 2 chromis back in april that I put in my 29g to keep it going without ghost feeding. They were healthy and ate aggressively. Around june i purchased a yellow tang and mccoskers flasher wrasse. The tang had ich which was hidden due to lfs dosing tanks with half dosage of copper. I treated the tank with cupramine and got it around .30 before my wrasse started to not do well. I was told to use copper power for the wrasse instead.

Fast forward to a 3 days ago the 4 fish went through 30 days of above 1.75 levels of copper power. The day I did a 90% water change my bigger chromis started hovering in a corner and had no desire in eating. My smaller one sticks by his side but will venture out to eat sometimes. The chromis swim around the tank at night like crazy though.

The bigger one lost a little color as of yesterday. Not sure what I should do. No red spots on the fish.

@Humblefish @4FordFamily @Maritimer @Big G have any ideas here? My chromis experience is very limited.

@Grossman90 I'm sure you have checked salinity and parameters. Did you make sure everything aligned when you performed the large WC? No big salinity swings or other parameters out of whack right?

Yup. Water temp and salinity matched before doing the water change. Ammonia badge showing 0.

No, the big chromis was the bully. Chased the little chromis and mccoskers from time to time. Yellow tang is small and really mellow. Never seen him do anything towards the other 3. He just grazes all day. The wrasse even steals the tangs food and he does nothing.

Badge is yellow and reading 0ppm?

Yup, yellow since i put the badge in. The tank was cycled from back when i moved in march to hold my fish from my DT. After i moved i did about a 75% water change and put the chromis in. They were alone til the beginning of june when i got the tang and wrasse.

The badge went in after the move.

It might be worth dosing Metroplex with copper. The latter will suppress uronema, but the former will fully eradicate it.

Treat the tank again with copper for 30 days with metro? The fish just got out of 30 days of copper. Wouldn't the chromis of shown uronema during the 2 months they were in the tank with 0 meds?

If copper treatment is finished, just treat with metro every 48 hrs for 10 days.
